Regional Marketing Manager

We are a blue chip Company, a leader in the broadcasting media sector. 
Due to expansion and growth, the following position has arisen within our organization:

Regional Marketing Manager - East Africa

Customers:
  • Advertising agencies
  • Corporate Africa Management and Senior Manager-Marketing
  • Africa Corporate Marketing/Customer Service/Operations
  • Regional Director, GM’s and in-country Marketing Managers
Outputs:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Marketing Strategy for East Africa
  • Develop Brand Building and retail campaigns with the view to increase subscriber growth
  • Monitor Marketing Expenditure and additional budget requirements
  • Ensure corporate identity and brand guidelines are adhered to by in-country marketing managers and all communication partners
  • Assist with the planning and development of Media Scheduling and Implementation of Country Specific Marketing and Advertising plans
  • Assist with planning of in—country events (In accordance with country strategy)
  • Support Sales and Churn Management Functions
  • Ensure effective management of advertising agencies
  • Co-ordinate point of sale and promotional. items
  • Compile monthly reports to Senior Marketing Manager and Regional Director
  • Conduct post campaign analysis after each campaign
  • Build and maintain good working relationship with Sales and Marketing staff, other support functions, RD’s and GM’s
  • Ensure advertising campaigns are in line with brand promise
  • Manage the launch of new channels
  • Develop and implement digital marketing campaigns
  • Extensive travel, across the East Africa Region and South Africa
Competencies:

Knowledge
  • Marketing degree (Minimum)
  • Understanding of marketing to diverse regional and cultural groups
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Marketing, especially brand communication
  • Advertising/Brand management specialization qualification advantageous
  • Knowledge/experience of working with and managing advertising agencies
  • Track record of development and implementation of Marketing strategies
  • Media/FMCG background
  • Extensive understanding of East African Region
