Regional Director - Fundraising & Partnerships

is one of the world’s largest conservation organizations working together with
its partners to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to
build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature.
We are seeking an experienced and talented professional to oversee country offices implement the donor care strategy and build a fundraising growth strategy.
The
Regional Director — Fundraising & Partnerships will lead the fundraising
efforts on behalf of Eastern & Southern Africa Region including planning,
managing and ensuring the delivery of an agreed fundraising budget.
They
will manage and implement a fundraising and communication action plan covering
public sector partnerships, foundations and corporate/major donors to the
extent of supporting country directors to satisfy current donor needs and maintain
oversight of fundraising across the region.
The
candidate should possess an advanced degree in
conservation/environment/institutional development or business
management/administration.
They
should have at least seven years institutional fundraising experience and
strategic planning experience.
Ideally
the candidate would already possess key relationships with major donors such as
the EU, UNDP, DFID, SIDA, NORAD and DANIDA.
They
should have broad working experience and good knowledge of conservation and
development issues in Eastern & Southern Africa and Africa in general, with
at least five years of experience in the region.
The
position will report to the Regional Representative and will be based in
Nairobi with travel within the region.
